Its nice to get a second opinion to feel confident in your advice moving forward. Podiatry may not be an area you feel super confident in or maybe what you have tried simply hasn't worked on a particular case.
Some practitioners like having documented second opinions for legal reasons as well.

Dr. Caili Fulgoni is the owner of Pinnacle Equine Sports Medicine, a practice specializing in equine lameness and podiatry on the central coast of California.
After graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Caili Fulgoni started out under Dr. Kent Allen and Dr. Susan Johns at Virginia Equine Imaging. After becoming an FEI permitted treatment veterinarian and working at events such as Rolex, Dr. Fulgoni started her own practice in the central coast of California called Pinnacle Equine Sports Medicine serving clients from Woodside to Paso Robles. The base of her practice is lameness, podiatry and prepurchase exams. She has been able and honored to help a wide range of clients with their goals from getting to peak performance events such as the World Equestrian Games to stabilizing to resolving severe and chronic laminitis cases to helping make retired horses comfortable and healthy. After years of success helping her clients and their farriers with podiatry advice she decided to try to expand her ability to help more than just her local clients.
